Dev Build Update: Melee (Mar 25, 2024)

Hey everyone!

This update is a simple one: we've added Melee support to the app 🎉

What's in this release?

You can now add players to a given group (like "My Top Players") for a specific sport. Then, you can customize your timeline to:

• Show both games or filter to just Ult or just Melee
• Set different min-tier limits between games

Every page / data view that exists for Ult now works for Melee as well. We also added the ability to switch from one game to another when on pages that have both (ie: switching quickly between different events at BoBC 6).

When will Melee get launched publicly?

Since Melee has such a long and important history, we will be putting in the work to add important brackets that aren't on startgg and we'll be uploading historical rankings.

We'll also be using the app and smoothing out any rough patches we notice.

What's next?

We're working on a long requested feature: making it so you can create custom player groups. This will be the next Patreon build and will likely be available at the very end of March or in early April.

Additionally, the Smashers App website is live in Patreon and we're working to get that ready to launch publicly.
